True, but then gravel and highly polished components never mix too well :D

That's very true.... Matt was round trying to give it a detail prior to the McRae rally....
but he just couldn't get the gravel marks out the side, especialy as it would have rubbed all the text of the stickers around.... :-D

Surely heat soak will be minimal unless the charge temps go way up. The inlet manifold shouldn't get that hot plus it'll be under the scoop, if that's staying.
Genuine question as i haven't done one of these before without a guage.

How do you set up the correct pressure without using a guage. Is there an electronic one in the car hooked up to the fuel pressure sensor or some kind of calibration marks on the regulator itself to set by?
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Looks like it's a Defi sensor so there'll be a guage somewhere.

There's a defi FP gauge in his 3 gauge pillar pod.

Lol at you lot.

Right, it will all be pretty well heath shielded, plus if you have a look you will see the 10mm phenolic spacers that the manifold is sitting on.
So the manifold wont get hot anyway. Plus as Gerry pointed out, this will be directly under the hood scoop in the airflow.

The sensor in teh gauge is a Defi item and i have a gauge in the car monitoring the fuel pressure all the time.

Hope this clears a few things up :)

AN fittings will be done once the motor goes back in and i can decide on pipe lengths etc.

Will you be monitoring differential pressure on the fuel guage or straight reg pressure?

Just straight reg pressure.

As you know, the fuel pressure changes under load anyway so that all viewable/recordable from inside anyway. ;)

I belivee it's possible to monitor diff. pressure i.e. fuel/manifold so that any deviation from normal can be seen or alarmed.

Straight reg pressure isn't going to tell you much unless it's next to the boost guage and your mental arithmetic is lightning quick :D
