The Walbro is a good pump and way better than OEM. Worth an investment if you are running decent power and need guaranteed fuel delivery come hell or high water. Don't cost the earth either!!
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!
Waiting now for another execution date!!:headhack:
Yes Pablo,
Walbro pumps are used widely on jap cars as an upgrade.
Make sure you go through the right channels and get a genuine one though. There are alot of copies on ebay.

Can only comment on the Walbro. I've had one in tank for ~5 years and it's fine. I now have a Bosch 044 external pump from a swirl pot with the Walbro as lift pump to the pot.
I thought Fords used an external pump?
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
Some Fords use external and some internal. At the moment ours is an external. What sort of power (approx) can these fuel upto. I know there are other considerations when it comes to power, I just need to get an idea if the walbo 255 will do the job.
Fingers crossed the base engine should be in and running next weekend Having a bit of trouble getting the gaskets are they are on back order but think i have sorted that now. Once the engine is in the car i'll be starting a new thread, don't want to jinks it at the moment
Not a small build though.....basically everything has to be changed
