Sprint competitors for Class D8 urgently needed

888's are allowed in class d8 that gerry is in , in the road going class b3 then non track type tyres have to be used like toyo tir's eagle f1's etc..

In clkas D8 any tyres are allowed, full slicks, whatever.

Yup, you can as far as I'm aware, if its not road registered you'll need to get it MSA log booked but as Stuart has found out this is pretty easy and only takes about

Tyres are listed in the MSA yearbook which comes with the licence, basically it's the rules for competitions.

In there are lists 1A & 1B. List 1A has the tyres that are approved for road going classes, mainly run-of-the-mill stuff. List 1B is for modified classes and includes the usual road legal slicks like 888s and Yoko A048s.

If you run in a road going class you must use the list 1A tyres. Modified classes you can use 1A or 1B and must have a roll cage fitted.

Favoured tyre for 1A is Bridgestone RE070 for dry and, as demonstrated by Kim at a very wet Curborough, Goodyear F1 Asymetric for the wet.

If we can get a good turn out for North Weald on the 21st Sept I will see if we can get a mag feature as we can finally promote the series now the MSA has officially recognised it!

Lost my motivation a bit with the open diff scenario

Just spoke to Spence and there is a danger of the event being cancelled if we don't get a few more entries in smartish, mines going in the post box right now.
