Colin McRae Rally

Post by mike-payne »

Well i joined the ranks with another 1000+ scoobs yesterday to ceebrate the life of Colin McRae.

We managed to set two word records.

1) Largest collection of single make of car. We were a parked up up to spell Colin's name and the Scottish flag. total was 1086 (I BELIVE), previous record was around 200. :-D

2) Largest convoy of single make of car. Again in excess of 1000 with the previous record beiong 500 set by the Fiat 500 club.

A pretty fitting tribute to a great driver! :notworthy:

Well done Mike

Must have been a nightmare to organise but what a fantastic achievement.

Could have been 1088 if Trev and I hadn't been at North Weald yesterday.

For me, it wasn't much of a result. 1st in a class of one

More exciting for Kim, Logan, Trev and Russell in B3 (14 runners in roadgoing) they were fighting all the way, as usual. :-D

Come and join us?

Well done Mike

That looked like a memorable day. Nice to look back on something like that and say 'I was there' ( Not North Weald ;) )
