It is based on an Elise Daniel. Read the article properly mate. This sort of thing challenges the way we will look at performance cars in the very near future :)

I saw that review today, and it weighs more (1200KG) than an Elise so not as nimble on the twisties, but it is a lot quicker in a straight line. 0-60 in 3.9 sounds pretty awesome and the reviewer seemed genuinely blown away by it. However at

Some valid points but think of it more as an indication of what will be available in the future, disregard the model specifics of price and eco-isms. The costs inevitably come down and the features improve but the Tesla still show great progress in my opinion.

PS- it looked better in the light blue ;)

The Tesla is definately a way forward and what a good looking way forward it is

Just like now we have petrol, diesel and LPG i have no doubts that certainly in my lifetime it will be electric, hydrogen or nuclear.....or if you happen to be a Star Trek fan....Dylithium Crystals!!

Take your pic :D

what happens when it runs out of charge and your on a 1000 mile journey? Does it take 12 hours to recharge etc? The point on the emmissions required to produce the elctricity is a good point as well plus if everyone had one imagine what would happen to the grid , it just wouldnt cope.

Nice looking car but bio diesel type technology is more likely to be a more sustainable future fuel and we already are seeing some very quick diesels on the track etc.
