Sounds great but 4 years for a coolant swap?? That is just slack mate. Best you sort that out as a priority knowing the overheating issues Rexs are well known for.

G,

You know about the hose up by the plenum that's the highest point of the coolant system? Unplugging that will allow it to drain much better.

Cheers,
Alex

Oh and what are you going to do to make the most of all this new found power and knowledge mate?
Use the car on track? ;)

Cheers Stuart, I had it on the syno and it was 324 at the fly and 275 at the wheels. To be honest there isnt a lot more from the twin setup without mapping for water injection on all the time and boost upped to over 1 bar (which doesnt normally last long).

The plan is to get a single turbo in the future, I'd like 400 at the fly. 400 is plenty quick enough to keep up with Ben (Rx7 is lighter than the skyline) !!! Plus with a single it produces less heat and gets rids of a lot of the awful vac lines that can cause problems (and have!!).

The bonnet and spoiler make it look good but looking at some of the cars with kits on makes it look a touch standard so I have my eyes out to see what kit or combination of parts would look good.

Alex, yes I want to take it on the track again. I will remember that trick, gotta to to halfrauds today to get some of the blue coolant and just read up on how to change it on mrc.

Hurrah, just got the latest bit on the car done now.

When I fitted my new rear spoiler it left 2 holes exposed and chippings in the paint where the old spoiler was. If you look at this pic it is the hole on the right and you can see where the old spoiler was:

Anyway after the last 6 months worrying when I took it out in the rain and not taking it out because it was raining and the boot leaking I took it to the last snetterton meet thinking it would be dry. As you know the heavens opened and we had the worst rain in a long time. Expecting to find a huge puddle when I got home I was pleasantly suprised that by putting the spoiler on it had sealed all the parts under and my heath robinson job of putting bungs on the holes worked !!! Needless to say I needed to get it sorted.

Took it down to Chris at H-Tech and nervously handed over the car keys where it was left for 4 days with him. Picked it up yesterday and the results speak for themselves:

We agreed the best thing to do was take the window out so had to get a new trim (

A very pure and considered approach to modifications G, well done.

I can see parallels between your approach and that taken by Miguel@Newera. High praise me thinks.

Cheers Guys, Miguels car is certainly one of my favourite RX7s. Its a really tastefully modded car with good selection of mods under the hood (single turbo etc).

Cant praise Chris enough, he has done a superb job and you honestly cant tell the holes were there.
