TNT Racing XR4x4 - Time Attack 2009
Reflection from the original dash was a problem, if it was a sunny day then it varied in the amount of glare depending on dirction of travel and position of the sun. It's more a case of being a distraction and not blocking your view. Imagine flying round a track with smears all over the windscreen you find yourself subconciously trying to look for a clean spot to look out of
 Clean the bloody windscreen then :lol:pablo wrote:Reflection from the original dash was a problem, if it was a sunny day then it varied in the amount of glare depending on dirction of travel and position of the sun. 2009 Engine build
Following on from our recent setback
The plan has been drawn up for the engine build which basically will be built by Alan and his brother Wayne. The aim is to have the engine built and fitted in the car by the end of the year.

2009 Engine rebuild
time has now come to strip and rebuild the engine so last weekend got the car up on the ramps
and started to strip the top of the engine. this is how far we got.

today we got the car onto the axle stands so easier to work and
took all the intercooler pipes, intercooler, radiator and pipes off.
Then was time to get the heads and the turbo off which after wards revealed
a few interesting things about the condition of the pistons and the cam lifters.

and this im sure i will be blamed for the mess on pablo's front garden :-D

after getting the nearside head and turbo off we looked at the waste gate and i noticed
the one of the pipes had split and this may be a cause to why we lost 25 bhp and 70 lbs torque

next stage now will be to remove the front suspention along with the drive shafts
ready for the engine to be dropped out
