OMG!!!!
I met up with Duncan, Rachel and Annabel yesterday evening down at the ring...
It's my first trip to the ring and my first impression when I arrived at the car park was that it was much smeller than I expected with whey fewer cars than I expected.
But of those cars, there was a real mix....
I saw Duncan pull in from a lap and go for a little cool down drive down the road.
Then in he pulled into the car park, pulled over told me to grab a lid and out we'd go!
All strapped in we went through the barriers through the chicane of cones and then off....
now despite Duncan and I competing in the same series and traveling and meeting up at all ends of the country, I had never sat in his car let alone been for a passenger lap.
First impressions of the car pulling away were great.. I guess there was a similar feeling in power, however I did notice a big difference with the rev band Duncan has to mine.
Duncan's car also felt very compliant, but with little noticeable roll. I have to say very nice....
BUT that is where nice ends.....
Next thing I know were driving into blind bends at quite frankly ludicrous speeds... Going over the brow of hills with my lunch rising rapidly, whilst I suffer a sense of complete weightlessness, as well as helplessness as I see the next bend looming.
The next most noticeable point for me was the half the track coned off while the guys repaired the barrier... but did this slow quiet old Duncan down... HELL NO!!! neither did he slow for all the oil warning signs!!
We hit what I believe is the Carousel and as we bumped round all I could think was, if my car put one wheel off this I
