its not one of the H,M, T or T+

The HTA is awesome right across the board and sounds incredible too and is great value. You would not be disappointed with it.

Bloody hell Duncan. Get yourself a four leafed rabbit's foot or something. Talk about crap luck.

Good job you're in Paul's good books or you'd be hiring a Fiesta for the ring trip. :-D

Have a good time and DON'T break this one

That just leaves an S then...you haven't said 'not S'

On a more serious note...i know the physical difference between the std FPGreen and HTA, and the HTA only costs $100 more :D but what's the difference in driving terms.

You've had both now so you're well qualified to say. Also how would the HTA run on a 2.0L STi. Gerry has the FPGreen and his goes like a rocket but he runs it on a 2.5L like yourself. I take it either turbo would be quite laggy on the 2.0L.
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

In my experience HTA vs Green they spool up very similar. I found that they can both provide 2 bar of boost at 3000 rpm if I wanted. I backed them both off to make for easier daily driving.

Peak boost was the same running to a peak of 2.4 bar in my tests. I did not run them at this level for long but backed them off to 2 bar peak.

Boost at redline - the FP Green tailed to 1.6 bar at redline on the 2.5. The HTA would hold to 1.75 bar and flow much more air. On a 2.0L I believe the std Green would hold 1.8 bar and the HTA slightly more if wanted.

I run the 8cm exhaust but on the 2.0L I would say the 7cm exhaust would be good for early spooling and through this I wouldnt think much difference in boost profile would be there.

lol Mark. Not quite technician standard (or speed) but I got it done and that was the main thing. Taking the MD off the other car, taking mine off, dissecting that and fitting the new one including adapting fittings to make them fit - I am knackered.

Your engine will be superb - I am sure it will do you proud :thumb:
