not really "results" but doesn't warrant a new thread:

Eventually got my onboard video of our Toyota Sprint Series track session edited down to under 10 mins (learned some new skills) don't get excited it's not got megga production, but hopefully it'll amuse you anyway.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vjma0_KDAh8

Si Marsh's off at Paddock in his MR2 is at 3.10 & Tim from Fensport (i think) also has a bit of a squirm in his N/A Celica as he takes a bit of grass on the exit of Graham Hill bend at 5.45

I am using the clutch  it's just got a lot of travel in the pedal & needs replacing (do it at the end if the season) & only seems to click/crunch when i'm abusing the car so i shouldn't do too much damage.

My first propper clear lap looks like 61 seconds (6.19 - 7.20), but i reckon with 888's like most of the other TSS guys i should have managed a sub 60....so am looking to buy a second set of rims to put some on. Also when i did a sprint here in September 2007 i thought i was doing ok as i went round Paddock & then when i got to the bottom i had all 4 wheels on the green painted bit & was inches from the gravel so i probably give it a bit too much respect now (& have seen lots of big accidents at paddock over the years)

Hope you enjoy the video

Phew! Sorry to hear about these crashes.

I've just bought some recently refurbed wheels, and will carefully check/remove any coating on the hub face. Why would it get so hot in there though?? It's not as though the rest of the wheel's coating ever (normally) comes close to melting...

Hubs are blinking hot after a session Andy - particularly with std brakes.

I was happy, enjoyed myself :)

Takes a lot to qualify these days :( haven't been to Brands since last years round, and I think I'll concentrate on seat time rather than car mods for 2009 as I'm happy with the car now :D

Wont get a chance to drive Snett before the final either, just no money :(

Dave, did you end up running spacers for the wheels?

If you did, did you change the wheel studs for longer ones?

I have seen a lot of fresh powder coated wheels before, even have a set myself, and i have never seen anyone re coat the hub surface.

Don't worry, I won't be cheating either

I would get a track day in if I could afford it though :P

Had 5 mm on the fronts and there was enough thread (was told 4 or 5 turns was OK) none on rear.

While I was waiting for the tow truck i checked out the other nuts and other front all were loose  by loose i mean i could have undone em there 7 then..........rears were also looser than they should have been.

Another lesson learnt though.......

Buddy Club guys were top notch............think if I'd had had a spare set off lower ssuspension aarms to hand they'd have fitted them for me !!.

Its a great atmosphere with everyone mucking in to get cars fixed in the heat of the battle and away from invoicing systems :D
