I'll be the first to admit that the car has become far more important than it should have been. With getting hurt in Germany, taking the GTR off of the road and subsequently breaking it, shutting the business and a world of other grief that I won't go into on here, the BM became something of a bigger nature, far more significant than just a quick hoon.

I had to call many favours in, many more that I'll gladly repay tenfold and work my tits off on the car at all hours. I didn't see the Mrs for nearly three weeks beyond a quick 'hello', learnt a lot about the car and more about me.

The end result is a car that looks like a bit of a shed (wait til you naysayers see it up close) but goes well enough for me to have fun. Hopefully it will be reliable as I've booked loads of events in good faith.

I'm looking forwards to improving as a driver and I think the M will help me do that. The early signs on Sunday were very promising.

See you guys on the track soon :)

Top man Stuart! You must feel you've achieved after getting it all sorted for Sunday and then getting to drive it pretty hard straight out of the box :D

The car does what its meant to, so i wouldn't worry about the up close looks, anyway, it should be going to fast for people to notice

Looking forward to some pax laps at Cadwell :D

There will be a few bits done to it between now and Cadwell, but nothing that will make it any quicker!

I have said from day one that if the M can do what the Sierra did for so many years, but just a little bit quicker, I'll be delighted. It will have a tough task to follow though as the Sierra is still going strong after 60 odd events now. Same engine, same clutch. Bloody unreal!

I have gained a fair bit of confidence from Sideways and his car. Our driving styles are quite similar so I hope I get on as well with it as he does.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
