Things like this and the awful loss of Rammy at the TT last year, things that are close to home, always bring home the danger in what a lot of us do.

It's so easy for there to be that slight creep of acceptance and complacency. We take it for granted that we've been racing/driving/drifting/sprinting for x years and we've been fine............ Truth be told, the risks that are taken can be huge.

Without launching into the sentiment of how sad it all is, which it is, perhaps it should be considered that if you were going to go out, this may be as good a way as any?

Given the choice, how would you choose to go? (seperate topic if necessary, just musing in public)

Tis sad, but sh1t happens. Gutted for the families left behind of course, but in a selfish way the fellas knew what they were doing and were likely enjoying themselves upto that point so we shouldnt be too doom and gloom about it. Its not exactly like the people I know who have been killed by other morons on the road that shouldnt have been there.

It wasnt a pleasant day , however unfortunately as terrible as it is to say, accidents happen and as we all know motorsport is dangerous, had this had been on the roads it would have been alot worse i beleive.

All our guys did a fantastic job and we were all on the scene within seconds and the Air Ambulance shortly after, although it was difficult with the accident happening just after the pit lane entrance on the approach to the startline, the marshalls cleared all the spectators very quickly alowing the rest of us to do our jobs without distraction. The media always play their part and i found this frustrating, with them being there 3 hours after the incident, harrassing everyone trying to interview every witness to get some details with alot of people in shock, i had to get them escorted of the circuit which then makes us as a company look bad but my hands were tied, eventually had to let them back in. The Saftey record at Snetterton is very good and as alot of the riders said who were interviewed stated its alot safer than being on the road.

My thoughts are with the families of those involved.

According to the local news of 12:00 One biker died at the scene, the one air-lifted to hospital is critical.

Let's hope that guy pulls through OK.
