Re-done the boxing for the oil cooler today - much better and with the bigger 25 row oil cooler I have now fitted the oil temps are absolutely puurfect at around 85C on a normal drive. As soon as the oil gets over 90C and the thermostat kicks in, the oil hardly gets any hotter.

I am liking this :D

Few things to do before a sneaky track test prior to the ring trip to test stuff out beforehand ;)

- fit engine mounts
- make mount for new air filter on inner wing
- some minor bodywork repairs
- change 888's over to a new set of wheels

It would have been, yeah. But I made the decision early to enable me to definitely sell my slot on the basis of funds for repair = funds for the event. Unfortunately times are tighter than I would like and it had to be done to enable a trip over to germany with the family as our only holiday this year. It is a big sacrifice from Rachel & Annabelle in giving up a beach holiday.

The 888's will get well and truly scrubbed in Germany at Nurburgring and Hockenheim :D

That is some sacrifice, don't think I would have been brave enough to suggest it!

Are these a new set of 888's or are you still trying to scrub in the first set?

If you are at Brands come and park up with us, as a Team car, don't park outside with the door dingers
