FS: Mazda RX7 FC TurboII. 1989, SOLD!!!!!!!!

Post by Nik »

Well It is time to let someone else have some fun with my wife Sarah's RX7.

She has owned it for 4 years and in that time she has lovingly cared for it, but it is no longer getting any use as we do not have the space for it at the new house and it is parked on a friends driveway.

It is a 1989 RX7 FC (2nd gen) TurboII coupe in firefly red.
It is pretty much standard apart from:

HKS filter and hard pipe.
Decatted SS twin exit exhaust.
Uprated plugs.
Fuel cut defender.
Turbo timer.
ABS removed.
Lowered suspension (unknown make)
Aftermarket wheels.
Slightly uprated centreforce clutch (fitted less than 2k miles ago)
FD (3rd gen) front brakes.
3 new belts (alternator etc)
Eagle F1's allround.

A fully reconditioned engine was fitted at approx. 80K miles and it has now done approx 130K miles. Although it was in 1995 tere have been no problems with the engine since we have had it. There is a small amount of smoke on start up but this is normal with a rotary.

The tax has run out but it is MOT'd until mid september.

The dreaded FC rot has all been welded for the last MOT. There are a couple of small patches of rust but the are on the surface so would not take a lot to sort out. There is also a scuff on the front bumper but again it wouldn't take too much to sort out whilst you have the paint out for the rust spots.

I also noticed the other day when I went to take it for a drive that there is a small PS fluid leak but I have been told that it is not difficult to sort as it is on the PS fluid cooling pipe which is apparently not really needed so it can be removed and just looped with a piece of hose.

It will have a new battery as the one that is on it is flat as it doesn't get driven.

We have a drum of oil which is about 3/4 full that will come with the car and I also have an oil filter ready to go on it but I haven't had time to do the oil cange.

It has a thatcham 2 immobiliser on it.

The price is

Unfortunately Tom a swap is not really an option :) as the main problem is the space issue.
