I imagine if thieves blew up your engine or ragged the gearbox or both the insurance company would have to cough up for the cost of either to be replaced or repaired if economically viable as it could be classed as damage being done to it whilst stolen!!
Equally if your gearbox was shagged anyway or the engine was on it's way out, the car being stolen and then recovered cosmetically undamaged could be beneficial if you wanted to be that skanky

what annoys me most is how they took an awesome looking scoob - i.e. yours - and made it into that horrid looking thing .... I guess using the reg you'd be able to identify who the tealeaf is based on the fact it looks like they chose your car as it matched their requirements.
