How the heck can a gearbox failure be linked to lights?

Hope the engine isnt too badly damaged

Because when I turned my lights on to indicate I was going on a hot lap, my gearbox went!

Think this will be number 4!

The policeman in charge told me they'd had half the county looking for me! Strange really, when I rang RAC Trackstar to see what had been going on he knew exactly where I was! :lol:

Initial diagnosis is that it may be just a piston but won't know for certain until its cracked open, but fingers crossed!
