Cheeky sod!!!!!!
The original pipework was indeed old shower rail just to get a dummy set for a pattern.
The one you are looking at is chromed pipework and brass connectors the connectors have been painted black and the end pipe to the tank is aeroquip hose with proper fittings.
I cant believe you grassed me up like that! pmsl
I like to make use of things that will look good Whether or not they were designed for a car or not. If it works and works well then use it. This comes from building the kit car where you have to become ingenious to solve problems.
Thinking lateraly would be another way of looking at it.
Any way thats my story and i am sticking to it
I just hated all that flexi hose and connectors Seemed scruffy to me!!
Jay
Concentrate!!!! Must finish it

Can't wait to see this when it is done - you coming out to play on the BP track day at Snetterton with it?

And as we live with equal rights I've let him have half my manta, the wheel arches, the front drivers footwell, chassis rails etc

:-D :-D

That's great news Jay, well done :thumb:
Standard suspension with that lot? You must be fucking mad! Joking aside you are trying to harness a lot of power in a heavy car, I would seriously look at at least new OE stuff rather than 15 year old OE stuff with some springs, obviously coilovers would be better. It has to be your choice but you're not talking a lot of money in the scheme of things.
The tracknight in September is for advanced level drivers anyway Dunk, in terms of experience, and with the greatest of respects to Jay he would be asking for trouble by taking part.

Keep us posted mate. It will be tremendous to see this on the road. Best of luck

Stuart all the above is corect. I have not got recent track experience and only driven the old skyline in anger on a track twice so i wont be doing all that just yet.
I have to learn her all over again And this will lead to the suspension choice. Obviously i dont want it left standard but i need to decide how much harder i want it and how adjustable if at all. The shocks were new when i bought the shell so they are ok for the moment.
I made the mistake of just trying to learn a car before, this time i want to build it for the way i drive!!
I may find its just too powerfull for the track in which case i will have a serious decision to make. This is going o be a steep curve for me and a trust issue has to be overcome too! I have not driven a "fast" car since the accident and that will no doubt be another hurdle. I just want it finished and worthy of all the time and effort Gary and the boys at APT have put into it. Not to mention the substantial budget for the car.
Those of you who know me well will know how much it means to get this on the road and finished.
Thanks for all the comments guys

No way it will be too quick for the track, not a chance. By all means get yourself into some driver training. I bloody would if I had a 6 or 700 bhp car and wanted to use it properly.
I am sure, positive in fact, that the best value for money mods any of us could go for is training ourselves and yet it is often the last thing that we consider. Only my two penneth.
