Camskill do both R888's in 215/45/17 and 225/45/17
My preference is for the 225's just because you get a bit more rubber on the road but the 215's have a shorter sidewall making them a little bit stiffer again, but obviously you get a little bit less rubber on the road.
Just how much of a difference that makes in the real world i suppose depends on your setup and the driver but the R888's will be significantly stiffer than T1R road tyres anyway and then you would be able to run lower pressures.
Talk to Duncan and Gerry + others about R888 track tyres/pressures as they know the score with Toyo's.

Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Tony - if you are considering track rubber I would steer clear of the 888's. I have to be honest and say that i dont like them on my car. I prefer the Yoko A048R for better able to cope with longer track sessions.
If you are wanting budget track/road rubber then I would go with Hankook RS2 :

iirc Andy916 ran these on his classic and rated them highly. I will be getting them for the Seat Leon shortly too as I think they are great value.

Agreed with Duncan on the wear rate of R888's. Very good when they're good but don't last very long. I've been reading lots of comments and reviews on these and they all say the same thing.

I did indeed, on the road (wet and dry) and at a drying/dry Cadwell. Unfortunately they were on when I had my recent prang which damaged one wheel and tyre. I'll be getting some more for my next set of track wheels. Can't really comment on wear rate on the road, quite high I'd expect, but they're very cheap.dynamix wrote: iirc Andy916 ran these on his classic and rated them highly.
