Cadwell Park 20 Jun 08

Post by Tommy »

What a day. It was forecast rain but the sun was out all day! The car was impeccable and completely transformed by the new tyres and cage since our last visit to Cadwell. It showed in the times too since we lopped a good 5 seconds off to 1:50.4. The car is now so much more predictable and adjustable on the throttle and the power oversteer has all but disappeared. Here's some photos:

More track time!! Git :D :D

The car looks superb mate, really superb. Probably one of the nicest assembled 36's that I have seen :notworthy:

It was funny, I'm sitting here compiling a shopping list for mine and then your pictures popped up as a new post! Given me a few ideas too ;)

Great to hear that the work has paid off. I would imagine that the seats and harnesses must give you more confidence now also?

How were the tyres?

Yep the seats and harnesses are great for improving the confidence. When you're strapped in tightly don't you just feel more at one with the car? If anything the XL size seats are a bit too big for me but if I'd bought the standard seats, Chris wouldn't have been able to fit!

The tyres were excellent for the money. I've never been in a car with 888's but my guess is the 888's have more grip (and so they should at

That is encouraging to hear :thumb: I hope to catch you guys up with your BM indulgence pretty soon, this year at least :)

There is something about the durable, abuse tolerant nature of the cars that appeals. I'd glady trade a few horsepower for something that endures sustained use on the tracks.
