I am beginning to get worried about you, first you fit bacon slicers to the front of your car - clearly intended to amputate the feet of anyone you have the mis fortune to hit, now you are machining what look like Ben Huir style wheel attachments. Have to warn Mike to be careful when he overtakes you at Oulton!
I have to compete with Mike's kneecapping devices

For the time being attention has focused not on testing as last night should have been, but on limping the car up to Nottingham on Monday to change the turbo. The compressor shaft decided on the way to the track last night that it didnt want me to have any track time at all so sat it out feeling decidedly sorry for myself.

Thanks to Julian for helping me disect enough of the car to inspect the turbo and for gary for sitting in the car whilst he confirmed my fears and for Mike for being at the end of the phone in his normal helpful way telling me that everything is fixable and telling me I could have taken it up there today. Unfortunately that was not possible due to work commitments but it is very reassurring to be able to get hold of you and talk it through :thumb: Thanks also to everyone that came over and peered into the bonnet with me expressing their pain at my anguish.

We will do a thorough examination of the parts on monday as try and establish the reason for it and if feasible a way to avoid it in future. From the examination last night the shaft has quite a lot of play in it and all the compressor wheel blades are nicely rubbing against the housing :( So the eeeeeeeeeeee has been replaced with a much louder whizzywhir.

It does mean that an upgrade is going to happen though so it aint all bad :D

One day soon, all this bad luck that BigPower Time Attackers and EDC'ers is having will finish. Hopefully i will still have enough hair to enjoy the moment.

Glad I could be some help last night Duncan and that I could help to pay back the advise and time that you have given me in the past few months,
Hope you get it all sorted soon, by next tuesday would be nice

Never mind it's far more economical this way :D

Don't worry Duncan, if you ever get stuck for a Turbo i've got a little TD04 sitting here you could probably squeeze a puff out of

Sorry to hear about the Turbo gremlins but on the upside glad to hear a negative is turning into a big positive as you're now getting a serious upgrade over the FPgreen :D

What next, a GT30 or 35??

Everything happens for a reason. Nice One!! :thumb:
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Waiting now for another execution date!!:headhack:
