Top spot in B3 was hotly contested between Kim & Logan. Kim having a lot of experience at Lydden had a slight advantage going into the first timed run, however Logan who was new to Lydden was faster by one hundredth!! It doesn't get cloer than that!!
I was a few seconds back with Graham less than a quater of a second behind me keeping me honest.
Second timed run Kim found enough to pull ahead & Logan didn't go faster.
I found about a second as did Graham, so the fight for 5th in B3 was still on.
Timed run three Kim & Logan were still bloody quick, but didn't better their times. I went about a second quicker again & so did Graham!!!!
Mike in B3 with the MR2 had terminal engine failure in practice & had to get the RAC to come get him, so he'll be out of action for a while.
Of 13 in B3 the top finishers were:
1st. Kim Adams Evo9
2nd. Logan Black Evo6
3rd. Brain Winstone GT3RS
4th. (forgot his name) M3 CSL
5th. Rusell Giddings (me) GT-4
6th. Graham Subaru STi
............ect.
Mike Blackmore had a new Carbon fibre front splitter which took a battering when he ran wide out of paddock bend & kept his toe in hard & took to the gravel & grass he reckons it's buggered & will have to go in the bin. Mike took second place in D8, beaten by a black Mazda RX7 which looked neat & tidy on every run i saw.
The FTD went to Matt Oliver in his Judd, doing 1 & 3/4 laps from a standing start in a shade under 64 seconds
It was great fun, however as it's only my second sprint at a "proper circuit" it was a bit daunting being surrounded by tire walls Etc. but going faster each time is a good sign of my confidence growing & hopefully next time at Lydden i'll be able to pick up where i left off.
(all facts & figures are as i remember them & are inaccurate at best, so i won't take any corrections personally)

Be a pigeon, not a statue.
Morning all!
Lydden was another fantastic outing. Kim finished 1st Class followed very closely by Logan. I finished in 7th or 8th on 92.09 seconds but i beat the Sierra's which was my aim. I was riding on russels coat tails all day but couldn't quite find that little extra to get ahead. I also discovered that my brakes are in serious need of replacement as they struggled on the 2.75 lap practice and were smoking a bit when i arrived back at the paddock. Trev, i will have those 4 pot's from you. PM me your best price
The rain held off for the day giving us good sprinting conditions, though it was a little cloudy at times.
Mike Blackmore turned out in his seriously tuned Scooby and looked great as he gave the grass a little trim at paddock bend with his new carbon fibre front splitter. Paddock bend i'm sure made most of us pukker up at times!!!
All of the BP contingent were on good form, It was a shame that some of you couldn't make it.
And we discovered that 3 Goodyear and one Bridgestone can make a difference. I'll let someone else explain that one.

Some nice write ups guys, thanks
Well done to Kim and Logan, contesting their very own version of the Rocky movies. Fantastic that you two can push each other along the way that you do.
It sounds as if you guys (Russ, Graham) are getting along very well with this sprint malarkey and I look forward to joining you with Gerry, Trev, Andy ESL and a few others at Debden.
Bring it on
