THANKS

Post by mike-payne »

Well the TA season is over... It's been a long season with the last race a week ago.

I need to say a few thank you's!

Darren - ABW
Darren thanks for making the car looks the nuts!!! It attracted so much attention at all the public events. Everyone taking pics. it definitely had an impact.

Alyn - A S Performance
Alyn has been extremely helpful through the year, helping me to source parts. He literally can provide anything and it's nearly always next day delivery! He also has so much advice to offer too, so he always makes sure you get the right product for your needs!

Polybush
They provided a full set of bushes, which quite hoinestly helped to transform the handling. the turn in was awesome. they never went off under pressure or abuse. A great upgrade for track handling!

Steve - Spec 'C' 57
Steve thanks for the couple of visits out to sort my trailer. It was great having your help to keep me rolling!

Frayz
Thanks for building my new heads. And your mamouth hours to help get the engine built this year! You do awesome work!

Zak & Luke - Mocom
Thank you fro getting my engine built halfway through the year. That was an incredible turn around!

Simon - Jolly Greenn Monster
Simon thanks for your help in getting my Simtek running sweet and pulling like a train!

Neil - NeilK
Neil, i owe you the biggest thanks. you've been there all the way offering support and advice. You've been there att all but one event, helping to get the car set up, driving the car to the events and generaly getting me and the car ready. i really couldn't have done it without you!

I guess it just goes to show that TEAM ESC, really is a TEAM effort.
I'm sorry we didn't get a better result... I can't believe all the silly issues i've had all season that have just held me back. Not to mention that the class structure this year in TA was not best geared to a genuine Club car.

Thanks Steve and ditto....

TBH that's one of the things i did like about the series, there really was some good camaraderie in the pits among the drivers and teams!

Well we got her up on jacks today to sort the wiring issue and replace the headers to up pip gasket.
But once up in the air we were able to assess what had happened.
The slip joint bracket on the left hand side pipe hand been sheered off (under expansion i guess). the headers have blown apart the slip joint, resulting in the right hand side of the headers being pushed into the wiring loom and melting around 200-300mm of loom....!

Can't get the headers off as the top bolt is just too tight. so will have another go tomorrow as i have located a C spanner.
then the headers will be off and sent down to Haward & Scott for them to weld up a new bracket for the slip joint.
With the headers out of the way, we can then start cutting and splicing the numerous cables involved.....

Never rains, but it pours!

Thats a pisser Mike but on the upside, youre not looking for a fault anymore and at least you can do something preventitive to stop it happening again

Chin up mate, i also have a C spanner if you need one :)
