I did hear that it had a Vauxhall engine so should have been in the Libra class E9. He beat me by 0.8sec on the first course and I beat him by 0.3sec. on the second but as the best times are added, for a final time, he beat me. The RA just beat us both

The competition was refreshing with no Mike Blackmore present. We each went faster, maintaining the gap. The car was running well so no excuses there. :D But once the engine's sorted and the turbo doing what it should, it'll be a different story

I'm beginning to think that fishing would be a good past time, to replace sprinting. Just think of all the excuses that are available to anglers. :D

Good news about your car Gerry. Surely the scrutineers job is to ensure that the cars are in the correct class?

i was reasonably pleased with my times on the first course and the practice times on the second but the 2 timed runs that count i screwed up , bloody cones :P
there was some serious machinary there today including lancia stratos's, metro 6r4's, and the usual porsche's / mk1/2 escorts etc etc..

Forgot to mention. One of the D8, double drive, Imprezas was towed back to the paddock looking very sorry for itself. Don't know what happened but it was a very fast course with some long fast bends. Although bounded by grassy fields, with nothing solid to hit, other than the cones Trev found, there was no way of knowing quite what the long grass concealed. :o

Scrutinneering did pick it up, I was told and the published results would show it. So I may have got second. :) 8 runners in the class made it more interesting.

Nice video Trev, Logan mentioned you had been giving it a bit of a scandinavian flick! Looks like a fun way of dealing with the chicane!!

Did by any chance Mrs. Trev get any footage of me the Black GT-4 or my dad Jim in the gold TR8? I got quite out of shape underbreaking for the chichane on my 2nd timed run & somehow got it back together without taking the chichane out, if i'm really lucky it might look like i know what i'm doing

It was good a fun day & i enjoyed the added challenge of running 2 courses;having to post a good run on each course. Plus for the first time at an MSA eventt i had another GT-4 in my class :P
I didn't stay for prize giving as usual, dedicde ot shoot off as i had a good couple of hours travelling to get home & M25 to contend with.

Evo's at the top of the class, Although Brian in the GT3 RS went well in the morning.

I saw Rick Lee toward teh end of the day & he told me his Metro 6R4 & it had stuck a conrod through the side of the block durning the afternoon, which is a terrible shame as he doesn't know where he might get another block from.

See you at Lydden next week!

sadly she did not get any more footage on that track :( i did not tell her who to video and as she has not met either off you/cars

video's on you tube are real crap quality i uploaded to photobucket but dont know how to show it without having my whole album on show to everyone.
wish i could have used my practice times as they where faster than my timed runs but nevermind thats how it goes.
was quite fast course commander was showing 110 +mph coming into that chicane.

also anyone know what happened to andy (esl) ?

What a day, very hot and sunny. Gutted about my morning time as I stuffed my last timed run start with the clutch slipping so ended up about .5 seconds down from Kim and Brian in the GT3 RS with it all to do in the afternoon.

Afternoons course went better for me and I was fastest in class by 0.3ish but i wasn't enough to beat Kim so I was second.

Still, a top days motorsport :!:

Trev, you can link from photobucket just the link to the video and it'll only allow you to view that not your album.

Awesome driftage tho :D

For me, there was one consolation as Liz pointed out. "At least you won't have a hideous trophy to bring home" :D Last year's award was pretty ugly. What were this year's lke?

Nice vids Trev. Your wife's getting the hang of the camera nicely and they really do show how those Evo trick diffs take away any need for driver skill :D NIce bit of drifting round the chicane :thumb: Now I have a working speedo, that's obscured by the AFR gauge, I noticed well over 100 into the final left hander and across the line. :o

WOW!!
that was some video Trev with great skills on the flick :thumb:

Great footage from Mrs TK showed just how much technology helps the newer cars. Without taking anything away from Kim, as we all know he is a driver of some talent, the car looks so composed through those very fast sections and even through the chicane, no drama and no fuss, just clean application of power and in turn, traction.

A shame there was no footage of the wonderwagon but overall a lovely little video and one that I giggled at a few times. 'Go on Trev!!'
