TA - Silverstone you ready - What a day

Post by pablo »

What are our chances of getting through the gates as we don't have a jap car

Our sponser will be there so we would appreciate it if you would all form an ordeley queue behind us down the main straight, just to makes us look good :-D Leave your cars in 2nd gear that should do it.

But then again according to the rules you can only overtake on the left :!:
Opps did i say that out loud

According to the rules, you can overtake anywhere you want 8)

I'm sure you guys will do fine and I'm equally sure you know how long your second gear ratio is :D

IS Fitz still running those bling Jap wheels on his 3 door? If so, he'll get in just fine. Seem to remember it's Bayside blue too.

Yes he is still running those bling alloys, Alan did ask him if we could borrow his car for silverstone...there's no need for me to tell you what he said :o

It's not Fitz that's coming to silverstone it's the new sponsor Alistar the boss of Showtrax. :)

My mistake Dunk. The commentator at Donny (Maz) did not distinguish between the classes when he announced it as a new rule.

Well the cars back together and just a couple of small jobs to do this weekend.
Check the plugs
Change the switches for the twin electric fans. As they have stopped working.
Re-fit the undertray

Then tomorrow it's off to the dyno centre to get the boost level reset and a final check to make sure that everything is ok. (Fingers crossed)

I so want to run more boost.
I drove the car over to the dyno centre this morning as i wanted to check it out and generally feel how Herbie was behaving. The car was very smooth and pulling well from very low down the rev range. I decide to check what boost we were running we usually run 14-15psi (Don't laugh). As not to risk causing any damage I decided to use about half throttle, doing this in the past would see the boost peak and hold at 15psi.
So off I went 8,10,12,14,16psi and I had only just got passed 4000rpm and it was still climbing :o

Oh well at least we know how the car will feel and go once we start on the upgardes
