Update.........
All interior now back in. Spent all day in the garage and have not long come out
It's looking more like my old scoob now, just wish the body wasn't so tatty with supermarket car park dings from people that can't drive or park, and not long before it came into the garage some fool scraped the rear offside qtr panel while it was parked up across the road, and buggered off without saying anything :x Anyway, bodywork and respray will be next mods with the 22b look in mind. 8)

Being MOT'd tomorrow morning and it has now been insured with Keith Michaels Insurance effective today. 8)
All mods decalred on a like for like basis, agreed value of vehicle and all that. The good thing is no tracker required to insure it and to be honest i got fed up of paying them

Car is now MOT' and taxed. Got it on the road today after such a long time stuck in the garage.
It has a few Gremlins that need sorting out and my clutch isn't feeling too good at the mo. It's slipped a couple of times during road testing, and i'm getting an odd vibration on pull away and through the gearbox. :?
It stinks everytime i pop the car up on the ramps in the garage or bump it up and over the kerb to get onto my drive after having to employ a bit of the torque and some clutch control. Also atempting a quick get away from stationary using 4000rpm it slipped badly and really stank (only tried this once). :-D
Really odd though and i wonder if i haven't fitted it correctly for some reason. It's got a brand new Exedy uprated organic clutch cover bought from Alyn at ASP and the AP Racing uprated friction plate has only covered 10,000 miles. It was fine and working properly on the old engine. Is it possible to fit the friction plate in the wrong way round. I thought i made sure the flywheel side of the friction plate was facing the flywheel. :? I'll suss it out eventually i'm sure.
The car feels really different to drive (excluding the Gremlins) and feels very, very quick. My old WRX engine isn't even a patch on this. Come 3000 rpm the STI8's VF35 kicks in and we are gone:o ....Adios Amigo 8)
Sounds lovely though and you can definately hear it coming over the hill now

Difficult to say what it might be. Some people can kill a clutch in less than 10K miles, others get into 6 figures, it's all down to driving style.
Did you have a good lok at it before fitting, You are using your original flywheel? STi uses a bigger dia. clutch than WRX iirc. or is it all newage? Can't remember.
There needs to be some play in the operating lever, have you checked the pedal height and travel? Worst scenario. Get someone to operate the pedal while you watch/feel for movement in the crank pulley and hope there's none (that usually causes drag though)

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

Lee, No play in the clutch, it just doesn't feel the same as before. :thumb:
I had to adjust my pedal travel to allow the twin plate clutch to fully clear.
10K out of a clutch, i wish.........
