I tried some painted black and that just closed this rather too fine mesh up even more. New mesh is on its way and when that comes, it 'may' get painted but I quite like the look of it silver tbh. The main idea is that it works though.

well, I cant believe it ! Thanks to a problem free weekend last week at Knockhill, the car is ready for the off at Silverstone :D

Oil cooler fully fitted with vents for allowing air to this and an extraction vent to take hot air away from it. Apart from using normal hose rather than braided I am very pleased with the install. Hoses are at least 2 inches away from the headers and routed nicely so there shouldnt be any issues with using plain hoses. I will change them at some point in the future though when funds allow.

Air vents also added for induction and all good :D

The front bumper assembly along with splitter has been modified to allow quick removal for issues that necessitate access and more importantly, quick re-installation. This will make it a lot easier to just whip the front off to do work rather than faffing around trying to get around it.

Lee very kindly came over today to help me bleed the brakes. Believe it or not this is the first time I have done this myself. Cheers Lee... and cheers for the two jubilee clips :thumb: The fluid that came out was in surprisingly good condition albeit a little darker than normal so having fresh fluid around the calipers should help.

Other than that, there has been no time or funds for major changes prior to Silverstone, instead I am going to try and get used to the car as it is to find the way to drive it. Silverstone should be a nice test for it and although I would have liked a few tweaks practice and familiarity will help me best i feel.

5 days and counting :D
