OMG, never again will I bother removing sound deadening. What an arse of a job. I barely ever do things by halves but this just beat me. Anyway, the great majority of the sound deadening has now been removed.

I've already received my harnesses and seat mounts so I'm just waiting on the new seats now - Corbeau Sprint (kevlar reinforced fibreglass). During next week I'll need to find the time to remove the sunroof skin and cassette then it's off to SHP Motorsport in Ely on Friday for the sunroof skin to be welded in, the seats and harnesses to be fitted, floor plates to be fitted and a rollcage to be slung in there!!!!!! CAN-NOT-WAIT!

Very neat sound deadening removal Tommy. Did you use the hot or cold method mate.
I progressed your seat order yesterday and they are doing ok. You should see them soon ok.

Eddy - I used both methods but couldn't make the cold method work! The plumber's spray didn't seem to do much and it ran out very quickly.
Jason - No problem, I'll let you know when I pick it up however, it won't be going there until the end of next week due to a delay with the seats.
Duncan - it's good to know you are well pleased with their work. I'm sure we will be too.

In order to learn more about car mechanics and save some money, I've just been outside changing over the front brake discs on the car. However, I came to do the second side of the car and when I tried to remove the bolt holding the disc onto the hub, the bolt rounded off. Can anyone give me some tips on how to remove this bolt now?
Hi Les. I'm still using the same pads and the discs were replaced by Nitrac at a good discount. At the price offered we thought we'd try them again to use up the rest of the pads (there's probably more than 75% left on them after 300 trackday miles) and we'll go for a less aggressive Performance Friction pad next time.
IWANT1 - cheers for the tip. I hope my weedy Wickes cordless will be up to the job!
