Nice work mate :) Hopefully that manifold will hold up a bit better than the GReddy one.

You going to brace it up at all? Make a turbo hanger or something?

I'm thinking of adding an extra hanger under the car to support the front pipe and new silencer :)

Had a good look and think when changing the manifold yesterday, new one went on okay, I'd forgotten how quiet it can be inside the car! Nearly all the damage is around the ext wastegate pipe, I have a feeling the 2 brackets supplied by Greddy act against each other. I have reused the top bracket as it looks good for supporting some weight, but I've ditched the bottom one.

EPIC FAIL!!!!!!

Can't see all the cracks, even the "strengthening" plate is almost falling off!

Shitty focus on this one so I drew the crack in red, you can see daylight through it!

I will weld it up on Monday when I pop into work, problem is the welds hold fine, it's the shitty 1mm pipe that cracks :?

Bit of a trackday maintenance post this one :D

The first session at the Snetterton track evening destroyed the turbo/manifold gasket. I missed the middle one and turned down the boost for the last session and it was blowing like a bitch after that :wack:

Whipped the gasket out on Friday morning and then noticed I had melted part of the loom  I still had a blow somewhere after getting another gasket on and assumed the worst that my new manifold had warped the head flange :sob: Got the spare manifold fully welded and straightened ready for a swap by the lads at APT, only to find that the wastegate gasket had been blown to bits as well. Got rid of the gasket and bolted it up without one and the blow is gone. My manifold is better than I thought :woohoo:

I've got hold of a loom to make the repairs so it's almost back to it's original condition. I will mod the loom to stop it melting in the future....
