airlock in the type r?

Post by evildave »

when i 'blip' the throttle on tick over i can hear what sounds like water passing behind the dash (probably heater matrix), not sure if this is an airlock? or just a lack of soundproofing?

will attempt to bleed it out at the weekend but have heard scoobs can be hard to fill without trapping air?

any advice?? iknow it's a dull thread lol

cheers,

dave

Mine always used to be able to hear this but it is not an air lock IMO.

Easiest way is to remove header tank cap and rev it 2500 whilst topping up the header tank - this gets rid of the air. When full dont let the revs drop else it will overflow, just put the cap on and thats it.
