Rear seat is now out along with the parcel shelf, rear seat belts, rear blind, rear speakers, rear quarter panels and all sound deadening from under the seat. :-D :-D
It's not actually as loud as you would think.
Would think everything i have removed would add up to about 100kg maybe a bit more.
Get some lighter seats in there and loose a few of the other heavy parts and should have saved quite a bit of weight. 8)
There is still quite a lot of weight that can be saved but as i'm still using it as a daily driver at the moment I'm restraining from pulling everything off it.
This was mainly the removal of all the bushes and the replacment with the new Polybushes.
We found the best way to remove the bushes was to burn them out then knock out any sleaving that remained.
Refitting the bushes was just a case of greasing them up and pushing them back into place.
Day 3
After preping up on day 2 today was just a case of refitting everything back onto the car along with the new rear ARB and replacing the brakelines for Goodridge stainless hoses. This all seemed to go back together pretty simply except for the brakes which were a right royal pain to refit. :x
So next plans are to get some better tyres, have the Geo set up, and get a seat and harness fitted and of course get back onto a track.
After 3 days of hell I'm really happy to have finished and I'm ready to have some fun tonight at the Autotest :-D :-D
