Round 1 JISC 2008, 27 April, North Weald.
just got back from another fine day with fine company.
well done to all who took part and well done logan for a 1st in class and also gerry although there was not much competition for him in his class
also well done to stu and graham for attending there first sprint, may there be plenty more ahead :thumb: certainly looked like you enjoyed yourselves
hope you sort out the oil problem andy (esl) without to much hassle car certainly looked quick of the line

Small one's are more juicy
Don't miss yourself out of the accolades Trev, you looked to be going really well with bags of commitment through the fast coners.
I think the day was enjoyed by everyone from the look of the smiles. Stu was a picture, each time he came back from a run, his smile was as broad as his shoulders
2nd in class in a car that wouldn't be considered rapid by any stretch.
Ben came a good second in class. Good to see Graham having a serious go in his new Scooby. Will Andy manage to sort a car that will last an event? Too much choice bud. Also a rare treat to see our very own SprintChief, Spence
See some of you next week at Debden. :thumb:

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
Great laugh guys, good to see Stu and Graham pop their sprint cherries and the veterans do their speedy thing.
Spence was very pleased with the entry, every single Jap car there were competing in the JISC champs; off the top of my head;
DJ Ben - Civic
Trev - Impreza
DJ Graham - Impreza
Me - oily uber wagon
Gerry - Even more uber wagon
John Start - Evo8
Logan - Evo6
Pete Williams - Supra
and Big Stu in his slightly less Jap motor, but he's definitely part of the crew and even joined HCC as well as GBMC, top man. For those without Jap hardware, you dont have to have a Jap motor to come sprinting with us, you just won't score JISC points.
We will have a GT4 joining us at Bentwaters when Russell enters the fray, and I hear rumours of James' Orange and Garys' monster Evo putting in some guest appearances.
Old 'blue light' Grimesey has entered when his car is finished and is offering special rates to the JISC crew from his mobile sprint shop.
I also saw Gerry talking Mike Blackmore into it (I think he enjoys the competition).
Spence reckons this is the highest entry of Harrow CC competitors at a sprint for 20 years, so the JISC and BP have really helped rejuvenate a historic club that was genuinely struggling to survive.
PS. Curses, just looked at the results sheet and saw a Nissan Micra in there. The one that got away!
