Now see what youv'e done

Bet you can't guess what Jason will be looking for this weekend.

Poor Hattie is already embarressed about how many cars we have, she has to lie when they talk about carbon footprints at school!!!!!

Oh well, at least when one breaks there's plenty on the drive to choose from!

See you all soon Andrea.

I've got an old Mk.1 Jetta ('83) CL, a friend had a modified Scirocco storm which someone wrote off for him, and we bought the car back off the insurance, dumped all the Jetta bits and put the complete engine/box running gear the works.

It's current spec is

Bored 1.9L block
5 speed Gti box
Koni adjustables all round, lowered springs
4 branch manifold
239mm Gti brakes up front, really need the 256 or 280mm upgrade
Gti disks on the rear
Custom stainless exhaust (simple single pipe out the back)

It looks nothing (base blue), but has about 140Bhp and weights almost spot on a ton, has given me alot of laughs in the past, used to be my day to day car.

The intention was to track spec the car, but when the Evo arrived and cam belt went it's gone on the back burner, haven't decided what to do with it, but alot of the bits are there, just needs time spending on it to finish.

Maybe one day!!

Anyone fancy a joint project??

Cheers,
Gareth.
