Round 1 JISC 2008, 27 April, North Weald.
Signing on/scrutineering is from 8:00 so not much point in getting there much earlier unless you need to change wheels and do much prep.
The paperwork shouldn't take a couple of minutes, if the forms are completed. As it's your first time, get scrutineered early in case they spot something you've forgotten. Don't forget the timing strut
have the bonnet catch pulled, as they need to look under the bonnet to check for anything falling off. Ensure the battery's firmly clamped in place and with yellow tape or yellow i.d. on the earth cable.
Crucial part is make sure you walk the course. It really does help you to remember the course and it gives you a chance to look for the best lines to take. This is another version of the North Weald layout, especially the roundabout part that's now been extended and forms 3 hairpins, by the look of the map.
Try to remember a brolley, in case it rains. You've been to NW so know how cold it can be with the wind chill and rain

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
