Curborough Sprint & Learn event

Post by Gerry H »

The following was found on another site.

I've spoken to Lawrence and booked a place with him. There's still a few spaces available. Cheques only and need to be posted. I won't post his details, for the usual reasons. PM me for his phone number.

Format is five full laps per session so a really good opportunity to learn the track. If you're interested and want to join in an afternoon's fun with a taster of what Curborough sprint circuit is like, with a bit of tuition thrown in, get signed up :)

The price is

Not as if it's an early start Trev and you could leave at any time.

You do know that Curborough is a round of the JISC? Think of the advantage over Logan, et al :-D

Had a great time on Saturday. Some lovely cars present. A gaggle of beautifully turned out Lancias, Integrales everywhere you looked, an '80s Lancia Gamma with Boxer engine, a '53 (sorry don't know the model) beautiful condition with original adjustable suspension with access through the gap between wheelarch and tyre, adjusted from rock solid to mattress soft in seconds. Porsche Boxster, Carera S, CaymanS, Fiat Punto Turbo that flew and a dodgy Impreza estate car, can't remember any others. The majority, very well rdiven and a delight to watch being caned along the straight bits and hurled into the corners.

A great day with good weather and a very friendly, welcoming bunch of petrol heads.
