Duncan baring in mind you drive a competition car and were recently genuinely worried about oil pressure, and oil pressure in general being a highly important issue, i'm surprised to hear you haven't fitted one to a car that isn't std OEM

I think you'll find this is a competition oil filter that has been designed and manufactured to handle much higher oil temps and oil pressure than the std OEM filter.
The rubber seal is designed to handle higher oil temps and pressure, and the filter element itself is contructed to flow 25% more oil than the std OEM filter. This minimises the chance of filter and oilway blockages which could result in severe engine failure during hard sustained use!!
After my recent brush with oil pressure related problems causing my engine to fail, and the money i have recently spent (you know all about spending shedloads on your P&J), i'm not taking any chances

Jase will be able to explain what they did better than I can but it is effectively the same as an RCMS pump now for a lot less money. It involved shimming and something else 
Pressures:
- on cold start up at 110 psi
- on revving going up to 120psi
- hot idle 40psi (very hot idle down to 30psi)
- hot revving to 105 psi
Give or take a few either way.

Mine's a little down on pressure if anything.
Hot is 80C
V Hot = 100C +
Yours maybe slightly lower due to the tolerances in the bearings, but I am guessing there.
