Snap-On Double-ended rachet ring spanners arrived this morning. :D

Are they not just the nicest spanners to look at and hold. They feel really high quality when being used and the rachet action is very precise and solid.

It's no surprise why you pays the money and get a lifetime guarantee.

Sorry folks......Tool Fetish!!

Well....It's minus an engine now and looking very high on it's haunches. Not for long though :D

I am just waiting for a new clutch cover and boost control solenoid hose to arrive. Once the clutch and new spark plugs are fitted the engine is more or less ready to install. When installed i'll flush it out and refill with Millers 10W60 CFS and fit a very pretty pink STi oil filter. The new engine and engine bay have now been degreased and power washed so they are now looking spik and span :thumb:

Hopefully removing the car's interior and trim plus wiring loom tomorrow and refiting the new one saturday with a bit of luck. Sunday i will attempt to re-install the interior, and plug in the new ECU.

This week coming i will have the engine back in, and i am hoping my new GT Spec headers/downpipe and center pipe will arrive tomorrow so i can start blasting them ready for ceramic coating. I'm seriously thinking about coating the turbo as well if i have enough ceramic coating left over. We'll see.

I know i keep saying this but i will get pics up soon. With everything that's going on i haven't got time to scratch me nuts!!

It's all go you know!! :D

Intrigued to see what a 'very pretty pink STi oil filter' looks like.

Because it's pretty in Pink

Very different in looks from the usual standard black OEM Subaru oil Filter. This has the STi logo on it and i think looks cool. I believe it has a slightly bigger oil capacity as well as being a bit more efficient and purpose made for the STi.

I haven't seen one on UK cars either so i think they may well be Jap imports, therefore very unusual and rare. :D
