I did see you out on track though, you'd come off and was sat on the grass just before Dunlop bridge, I was the one waving with a big arm as I went past

We started the build in December to get it to the stage you see now, but once it's back from the paintshop it's 24hr days :twisted:

I did say hello to Barry at the end of the day but it was freezing and snowing and you had been busy trying to launch the evo off the top of the trailer Dukes of Hazards stylee

I must admit I would not want to have driven a triple plated clutch car up that angle

btw - Can we get this clear once and for all I had not had an 'Off' despite what the commentator had said to worry the cr@p out of my wife and daughter - the boost pipe had come off and the car stopped

George, that looks amazing.

I knew you had gone for those wide arches but I never imagined it would look that good. The holecutter should serve you well, I'd expect some decent weight reduction there. Any ideas what you are aiming for in that respect?

One question regarding the panels......how will you tie them to the chassis? Surely there will be a reduction in stiffness in the body and low pressure over these panels will encourage lift (same way that poly windows pull away from the door shuts at speed)

I look forward to seeing this in Scotland. Best of luck for your anticipated completion.

Good question regards to the weight, simple answer as light as it is when it's finished :roll: I have not set any bench mark at all I would like it to be the or one of the lightest in the world. It will be very interesting to see what it weighs.

The pannels are really good quality, very strong and shouldn't flex at all with a good fix. The next battle is the air flow through the arches and around the car, this all needs to be ducted and used to aid the car. Your right though, there is one massive wind trap under the front arches.

Anyone know where you can get a Carbon Subframe?

My wheels arrived this morning after been custom made.

nice dish on them

Took these late afternoon.

the car will now be in colour !!
