Gary, Chris and I were at his unit til about 9.30 odd tonight working on the car. The engine is out, front end off, wings off, suspension and bed dropped and the rear end is off.

The damage is obviously a pain in the arse but the car will be fine. It will be at Knockhill and it will be sorted quite quickly to allow for more development work prior to the event.

The chassis damage seems quite limited, which is great news. The way that the shell was prepared with seam welding and a really strong structural cage has saved the car, of that there is no doubt.

I was delighted to see that the damage was so 'mild' as the effort that the whole team have put in to TA 2008 is huge and it would have been a cruel blow to have been affected severely at this early point in the series.

A definite case of 'onwards and upwards' :D

Glad the damage isn't terminal. I hope it's all sorted quickly.
