Not to worry Tony, I didn't spot you either  I was in super stealth mode, in the Xantia so, hardly going to draw an admiring crowd. I spotted Duncan and Ben with a couple of other guys. Jumped out the car and just managed a hello to Ben but Duncan completely ignored me :( I think he had other things on his mind :D

I only knew to look out for Logan because I spotted his nipple covers

Awesome day,

Really informative, really nice atmosphere too and all the people from Lotus were all obviously proud of what they do which is great.

The drive on track was excellent and I thought the track itself was quite an interesting mix of seemingly simple to begin with but actually would be a real challenge to get seriously fast on, and had a couple of bit like the bump before the skid pan that just add an element of extra interest.

The cars themselves were a revelation for what they are, and a full spec exige must be awesome for the wee folk that can fit in them nicely !!!

Cant wait to do a trackday there in something I fit in well enough to feel confident to open the taps a bit.

I have issues !!! :ack2:....I used to be average, now I reminisce !!!

Agree with everything said here, not a bad bit about the morning. The tour was informative and interesting, with the guide, Colin.

Then the driving, again, very impressed with the cars, and the instructor. As always you always want more time in the car at these type of events, but a thoroughly good way to spend a Saturday morning with freindly and likeminded people.

A trackday there waould be excellent in my opinion, as its so close and I think quite an interesting track.

Hi Gents,

I am glad everyone enjoyed a trip to my office, and it was worth the negotiations to get the club a discount. It is always good to get some feedback too, especially from a different demographic than would normally try a Lotus. When it is so good then it also helps motive us all. I will pass on the comments and a link to this topic to the guys that ran the day.

I have also had some very positive feedback from the factory too about the club, and the attitude of the members. Glynn (one of the instructors) was very positive about how the day with the club went, and the behavior and entusiasm of everyone that joined in.

Sorry I couldn't be there myself but I will try to be there for the next one.
Rob

Glyn was a top driver and enjoyed him as my instructor for the morning and the passenger laps :D

Lotus Visit

Post by puggsy »

Great day as every body said. Every body was really friendly. Really surprised how those cars can be chucked around the track. Thanks to everybody who organised it and to the other BP members, who I have not really had a chance to meet and have a chat with. Hopefully in May I should be able to make one of the meets. Wish I could have had another session after the instuctors had shown us how those cars can handle. :P
