FAO Stuart, Simpson Race Exhaust vid

Heya mate,

Messed about for ages with the bullet cam, Archos blah blah etc. For love nor money could i get it to sound right.

So sod it, the last ditch attempt with my Sony Erricson K850i mobile phone.

Hey presto.

idle, blips to 3k, then held at 4k through to 6k then to the redline.

It sounds louder than it really is, 91.5dB @ 4500rpm static and 87.5dB drive by at WOT.

For anyone that doesnt know, this is a 3" system by Simpson Race Exhausts, it has 2 repackable race silencers and it coupled to an FP Green turbocharger and GT Spec Gen 2 headers.

Hope this helps buddy.

Sorry its taken so long, today is the first day we havent had a shedload of rain or silly winds.

I did about 10 vids on the archos but the sound was too overpowering for the mic.

The phone however didnt seem to fair too bad :D

Gravel was noisier than the exhaust. Bloody effective, dare we ask the price?

ouch indeed.

Miltek for a third of that price is good enough for me to get through any noise test at any track I want to drive :D

Never liked the Miltek stuff to be honest and there was nothing out there that met my requirements.

Zak and I had a goal and Simpsons deliverd.

I would love to drive Bedford though Dunk......can you drive there?

I like the future proof aspect to a system like this. Noise limits will get more stringent as time goes on. Something like this means that trackday and TF trips to the Ring and subsequent noise concerns are a thing of the past.

A good investment in my eyes.
