Just got this.....no, no inroads 'as such', just access to a straight answer about places. It may well be worth your friend ringing the circuit direct.

I'm afraid I'm unlikely to get there for this. I have been spending rather a lot of time away from home recently and don't want to take the piss out of my good lady. I haven't been able to secure a drive on the day itself so spectating (again) is not a strong enough lure to make me push my luck.

I hope you guys have a wonderful day. If my previous visits to the circuit are anything to go by you will almost certainly get a stoppage in the very first session, with someone getting the line wrong through the complex infront of the restaurant (Hall bends?) It is very narrow with a deceiving tightening thrown in for good measure. You will be warned about this in your briefing and for good reason.

It is a wonderful place ( excuse me if you have been before :oops: ) but it can bite about as hard as any circuit in the country. Steady, controlled building of pace ensures good laps and keeps you safe whilst you're getting your bearings. Watch out for bike engined Caterfields. Very fast here as are some of the locals in their seemingly stock Saxos and Pugs. Try and follow these boys at your peril :lol: I found out in the GTR a few years ago!

Might just be able to call in to say hello on Friday.

Will be in Lucy's sensible car though, so won't be looking for a last minute place

As well as the woodland section, watch out for low grip from Park all round Chris curve, the really long sweeping righthander up the top end. According to some Nippon challenge boys it's been resurfaced but lacks really grip (whilst narrow, it goes on and on, in the dry you're up to the redline in 4th in a standardish Impreza).

Eee aye, when I were younger, that woodland section was far more daunting :-D Hall bends had trees, barriers and bails real close (hit one once, ouch), the hairpin had zero run-off and Barn was much tighter on the exit (pal broke his femur on the tyre wall there once). All the same, go careful guys, treat it with respect.

cadwell park , well what can i say other than it was absolutly awesome ,having never even been to the circuit before i was amazed how undulating it was , it was dry in the morning so i took this oppurtunity to scrub in a set of tyres i had bought for the wet weather , in the end i was so pleased with them i left them on all day . now i thought cadwell in the dry was exciting but when it pi@@ed down i have to say it was fantastic so much so i got carried away and managed to stay out for 45mins

the bmw was faultless :notworthy: regardless of our constant abuse , it was good to meet tommy who was going well in his bmw :thumb:

i will post some pics and vid tomorrow and a bit more info

Second that. Absolutely great day at an incredible track. Intimidating at first but started to understand it by lunchtime.

The car performed beyond expectation, really stunning us with the amount of grip on offer. And when the rain (and snow!) came I thought the high rate springs would have us off the track but it was still useable and enjoyable.

I've got video and will post it up some time next week when I get hold of it.

I look forward to the reviews, photos and video footage. Will be going back in September if not before and can't wait.
