I thought I had FTD for a while as Kim thought he had glanced a cone on his timed run. Pleased to say he hadnt as that would have been a tainted victory! He was so far out in front I have to admit to a moment of despair!

Gerry, he was driving like Ari Vatanen with a stick up his arse :)

The M3 was quick, as was the Escort but a well set up Gerrywagon running full smiles and giggles would have whooped the lot of D8........biased? Moi?

Had planned to go and watch some of this yesterday, it's been some years since I last attended a sprint, but the weather put me off (and after playing football in the rain my son did not want to go out in it again).

Does anyone know when the next sprint at North Weald is?

Sounds like a great day despite the weather :)

Kim seems to be B3's equivalent of Mike Blackmore of D8, but at least Mike has the decency to NOT show up from time to time :D

Ari on a stick :rotflol:

Neil, Next NW sprint is 6th April and there's one at Debden nr. Saffron Waldon, on 4th May. If you want to come along, you'll need to post up on the appropriate thread, when there is one, for a pass. Who knows, you may just get the urge to have a go. :o

What tranny do you need? I have box, diff, prop, drive shafts, hubs, etc. If you're stuck. :-D

And a welder :o

Cheers Gerry, 6th April is no good as will be at Time Attack, 4th May could be good, will look out for the thread.

That urge is something that worries me, used to compete in sprints many years ago, Car & Car Conversions (CCC) Speed championship, allways wanted to get back to it one day.

Does that mean there's been some action on the engine?

the chicane from the start was a bit slower the gate to go through had moved over a few feet to the right to reduce the bump there and the long left hander had been moved over aswell a bit which seamed a little tighter, the rest was the same i think,
still good and really enjoyed it in the wet

and is there progress on the engine or is there a new car :?:
Small one's are more juicy
