Me - I love sub zero wind chill and standing water... how could I say anything else!
Really surprised at the gap to FTD p2 - 3+secs. Chuffed to bits.
Runs never felt scary - I was just trying to be tidy. Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics are the biz in the wet - Goodyears always are. And they're new.
Great to see everybody and well done to TK - top result.
Kim
PS
Best bit was watching everyone else drop it, spin, get lost, etc from far end of paddock - especially those who tried to get on dancing on ice after the finish... where's my camcorder?
PPS Photomotion were snappers at event

My first proper sprint and good fun despite the weather!
First run was, like, wtf does the track go?!
On the second practice I spun but the timing gear was out so I got a re-run :-D
The re-run was my first clean run, 88.something, so 4sec off Trev's time. Must try harder!
Weather and stoppages meant time for just one afternoon timed run, by which time there was less standing water and more grip. As with the others I gained about a couple of seconds, down to 86sec, remaining 4sec off Tk.
Couple of things struck me as difficult in getting up to pace. One is the coned-airfield type of circuit - more difficult to figure out than a proper track IMO, even though it is very forgiving. Another thing is familiarity, or lack of. Thinking back to bike racing I always took a while to gel with a new circuit, so I'm probably not best cut-out for the 2-lap practice format! On t'other hand I really fancy doing sprints at circuits like Lydden, Brands and Cadwell which I know well. Final one is getting the measure of the Impreza in the wet - bit odd maybe seeing as I've done 2-3yr of trackdaying in one. Thing is though, I was lucky with the weather and had hardly any wet in that time ... so, I've got plenty to learn about making the most of the car in the worst conditions that should be its forte!

Well done Kim, you were in a different league today.
Top result Trev, you got very close!
Andy B rode to an 86s which he seemed disappointed about until he saw how few cars had gone under 90s.
Fab write up Stu, great to see you (and James) as always, will be in touch.
The blue wagon now officially knackered, no power and lots of misfiring on the way home, time for an engine refresh.
Looking forward to seeing Logan and Gerry back out soonest.
Cheers

I think you did great and I can sympathise with your cone recognition issues. I am going to suck at that
Intersting to hear your thoughts about learning time.........another similarity
