problem with heat wrap in impreza headers

From the look of the pics, I'd say it was the thin stuff. I'll try and find the place I bought mine from. Fast Eddy or Alyn should be able to advise.

i have 50ft of this stuff on my down pipe, and that if fine with no problems at all.

the 2nd lot of 50ft that i got went on the manifold, and this is rubbish. im not sure if it was a bad batch, or what really, but i dont want to fit it, and then in a few weeks have to re do it again.

Zen performance use it on there car, and they say that they have not had any problems with it, but when i phones up the supplyer, they said that they had tested another exhaust, and it pulled apart.

It does stay OK on the down pipe as it's fairly protected there. It's the headers that are the problem. They're exposed to the weather and road speed and as soon as there's a weakness, it gets trashed by the wind speed.

even after a week? the down pipe is under the car as well, and that is in a1 condition

Found it at last. This is the best stuff I've found. It's about twice the thickness of the stuff you have and much stronger and denser weave.

Not soak, get it wet to make it soft & pliable

anyone know who will remove, refit, and wrap my headers for me?

took the standard ones off my self and fitted these, but my wraping is not the neatest.

have tryed to contact harvey smith but with no luck at the mo as think he is on holls.

need to be m8s rates as well

Harvey is in the Tyneside area, bloody miles from Cambs. Fast Eddy has workshop facilities, or Zen is even nearer but you won't get mates rates at Zen, unless you're a mate
