Christ Neil...........that is terrible news. Any immediate plans? Do you or your tuner have one you can fall back on?

i should have added, this was only found because the headgasket blew, if that wasnt bad enough and costly then this occurs.....

i have a spare bare block, but its going to be a massive rush to get one built, run in and mapped in time...

blown headgasket and maybe some blocked waterways at a guess....i did have a coolant leak for a little while, so its all related

Things are never easy and this just proves how costs can spiral out of control through no fault of your own. Gutted for you.

I hope that you make it out for at least a few of the rounds this year Neil, after all the banter between us it would be good to see for sure which package is the quicker.

totally agree duncan, even if its just the snetterton round!! at least then i coudl stretch its legs properly

ill go away and find the best solution and build it carefully. If im going to do it i may as well do it properly and that will be all the easier with debts cleared, which i should be able to do in a few months.

Im in a battle to get my car ready for Time Attack round 3 on june 1st, as my engine decided to blow the headgasket 2 weeks before round 1

im on the process of building the engine to replace it, as i have all the parts now but today was taken up doing some "little bits"

Fitting new intercooler
Mounting oil cooler
Finishing spraying my spare boot
Mounting CF spoiler to said boot
Fit Fire extinguisher
Fit harnesses

The car at the moment doesnt have a bonnet as i am waiting for my Nismo copy bonnet and trust splitter to arrive before i can make my front under splitter and side splitters

Still, good progress being made....fingers crossed it will be all done in a couple of weeks

The spoiler needs attaching and leveling properly as i manage to shear off a couple of bolts so that will takea bit of work!! doh!

The front looks a bit high at the mo obviously due to not having the lump in at present
