Bart saves life and suffers injury - AGAIN!!!

Post by pablo »

On monday I had a phone call from a very stressed Bart (Alan). Saying he thought he had broken his wrist. A trip to the hospital and smiles it wasn't broken just badly sprained. However this was going to take a lot of care and physio before the first road of the time attack.

Today whilst he was at work (university sports centre), there was an incident in the pool.
A bit of background.

The member is registered disabled and suffers from numerous conditions, one of which is being allergic to metal and also suffering from the worst type of asthma,Britol Asthma. It was Alan who identified why she always felt ill after using the local council pools. Unlike the University pool the council pools use Aluminium sulphate as one of the chemicals in the water.

Today whilst dealing with another 1st aid incident in the sports centre Alan was called to the pool where the member was having an asthma attack. Alan took charge as he had built a rapour with the member. To complicate matters the member is also terrified of paramedics due to a previous encounter. Whilst assisting the member collapsed and grabbed hold of Alan's injured wrist. The paramedics had been called but Alan had to remain with the member for comfort.

Information which I have received says that had Alan not acted in the manner that he did, then the outcome could very likely have been the worst case possible, at one point the member had turned blue from head to toe and blood / oxygen levels had dropped dangerously low.

WELL DONE MATE :thumb:

P.S. If he thinks this lame excuse is going to get him out of working on the car this weekend he's sadly mistaken

Very good work that man. There aren't many people of your calibre around. Takes some guts.

Well done Bart! Hope your wrist soon gets better, if only to keep Pablo happy.

That doesn't quite sound right

Top job Bart, comforting to know there's still people out there who will help others without thought to themselves :D
