Well I've only driven it the ten miles home from Aberdeen, But you can defiantly feel the difference in the front end of the car, You can feel the front wheels biting if you get my drift, Was a lot more positive through the corners.

But I really need to do some more miles on it to get a better more informed opinion.

I've finished running in the new engine now, I also had the front bumper and passenger front wing re painted to smarten it up a little.

I also had two new chassis rails fitted to replace the slightly crushed ones that most Pulsar's seem to be cursed with , Which tends to happen when some dodgy spanner monkey uses them to jack the car up on which they where never designed for.

Here's a picture of my 357 bhp 1 bar dyno print out.

The car is booked in to Wallace Wednesday afternoon to be remapped to 2 bar hopefully, I've done 200 miles on the new engine so it's ready to rock and roll now.

I've had a minor set back because I've had to two gearbox leaks, One from the passenger side drive shaft and the other from the back of the transfer box, The drive shaft one is easily sorted. I've already fitted a new seal and am just waiting for a good second hand inner shaft to replace mine that had been damaged some how, Might leave the transfer box one for a week or two as it's a little more complicated.

200 miles makes me feel a hell of a lot better about the limited mileage mine has before loading up too much. :D

Good going on the figures and the work so far though - cant wait to see 2 bar 8)

To be fair it was run in, In less than 20 miles on the rollers.

I only did another 180 miles to get another couple of oil changes out the way, I had a couple of full power blasts against a scoobie and an R8 with the mineral oil so it couldn't really of gained anything from doing some stupid amount of driving miss daisy miles   .

Anybody that runs their engine in over 1000-1500 gental miles is a total dumb ass in my opinion and will end up with a second rate engine.

Running in is one of those subjects that go in the box marked 'can of worms', right next to 'dynos' and 'favourite colour' :D

Well done Rob, fantastic results and it's nice to see the car back up and running.

Interesting Rob. Just need to find a new engine to try it on. Mind you, the Golf's only done 135k so that's barely run in :D

OK guys I had it re-mapped today, We tried to achieve 2 bar but had a few problems doing this, First off the waste gate spring wont hold more than 1.97 bar tailing off to 1.7 bar so I need a stronger spring.

We managed 458.2 bhp but this was with loads of ignition taken out because of my other two problems, Which where the injectors and fuel pump.

We settled on 432.1 bhp and 354.5 ft lb's @ 1.5 bar which was still pretty close to a 100% injector duty  .

I'm going to order new injectors/pump/waste gate spring and a new 4 bar map sensor.
