ok, another brief update. All parts now fitted and mapped. Had to swap to a D-Jetro PFC as the afms that i supplied apparently were faulty, or one of them was or something...whatever!!!

So the car now puts out a conservative 525bhp and 430lbft at 1.2bar. Having now driven the car for around a week now, i can say that the car is perfectly fast enough to compete in TA. I did take it to the pod last saturday, and although i coudlnt get the car off the line at all!! it was still pulling very healthy trap speeds to suggest that it is more than quick enough :)

The rollcage is fitted and painted, the new bonnet/boot and splitter will be with me at the beginning of march.

All that remains for me to do is buy and fit adjustible front arms to enable some camber, harnesses, fit the oil cooler, get the 888s, and the few other bits required to make regs, then im good to go. Hopefullyill have enough money, and more importantly, time.

Just thought i would post up some progress on my TA car for this year. Its been slowly evolving over the past couple of months, and this is the current state of play. Still a few bits to do (FRP boot and bonnet, GT Wing and getting some huge 888s on my new wheels :)

The car is mapped up to a sensible level which will hopefully provide some longevity for this year. If not then i have a spare engine block which i can have built up so it can handle even more ;) Current power is 525.4bhp and 430lbft. Its plenty quick enough in a straight line, and the gearing is nice and long to take advantage of it :) will pull round the clock with ease and keep going. Managed to take it to the pod but had a few launching issues!!! but was trapping at 123mph which is near 10 sec territory, so its promising :)

its been put on a diet (knowing that i was going to have a cage put in it was quite key to reduce the weight as much as possible. Ive already lost a net of 60kgs, with the boot and bonnet saving another 25-30 or so and a few more bits to remove i should see a net reduction of 100, making it around 1440kg. Still sounds heavy, and it is, but it doesnt feel it thankfully :)
