It would be a quick, cheaper fix Dunk, but while the engine's out I'd prefer to take the opportunity for a stronger build.
In the brief time the car wa running, it seemed the green's strength is further up the rev range so need something that I'm happy to rev beyond my usual short shift area.
I'll spend some time talking to a few people for options.
North Weald Shakedown Sprint
just got back and what can i say about my first sprint
loved it, cant wait till next event, good friendly company and all in all a top day
scruitineering was a bit nailbiting but car passed, my first practice run was a complete balls up and felt a right tit for going the wrong way  but second practice went all ok as did the other runs
some nice machinery there like ferraris 355's, porsche gt3's, tvr's etc..
good to see gerry and stu pop along for a cuppa and chat
event didnt go without problems for some and hope things get sorted for you soon enough

Small one's are more juicy
Must say I really enjoyed my few hours as a spectator today. Great to see everyone and have a good chat. Thanks for the burger Andy, good choice of cheeseburger with bacon and thanks also to Logan for the cuppa.
Thank goodness Trev enjoyed himself
after all the encouragement and cajoling it would have been pretty bad if he'd thought it a no goer.
Really really upset for Logan. Just how much crap luck can one person have? There's me feeling sorry for myself over a headgasket failure and he's had a fully forged re-build, a body re-build and now suspected bottom end knocking. The car looks stunning after the repairs and was going well too. Hope things work out for you mate and you reconsider the car's futue when you've slept on it.
Andy also suffered with a failed headgasket but continued to put in some very quick times. What a shame he's discovered Toyo 888s it could mean his arrival to D8 will be even sooner than planned ](*,)
As always, good to see Stu out and about supporting the BP members and this time accompanied by his good lady. Maybe some NW driver training is in the offing after chatting with Andy Walsh who, as always, entertained with his unique approach. His site 'Car Limits' is appropriately named

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
Just a quick note to thank the guys for a fantastic few hours. Tan and I were impressed by a great turn out with several 911's, Ferraris and the like in attendance along as some other cars that were really quick
Andy Stevens looked rapid in his wagon and as has been mentioned, Toyo 888's are serving him very nicely indeed. Good skills mate :thumb:
Logan was ballastic on the few runs I watched....smoother than a stoats smooth bits too. Sorry about your suspected troubles buddy but at least you were prudent enough not to risk anything.
Only caught a glimpse of Kim but he looked like it was a Sunday stroll, which I guess it was in a way. No drama, just bloody good times.
Trev/TK........fair play Trev, you done good. Dealt with a fair amount of pressure in the last few weeks and you didn't let your self down at all with some nice controlled driving (apart from the getting lost bit
)

It was really nice to see that the atmosphere of last years NW date was not a one off. The BP guys did themselves proud with good driving and the teamwork in the pits was great. Exactly what I would want to be part of. One day soon, I hope to be. I know Gerry and I were itching to get out there!
See you all again soon Lads
