Im sure many of us have seen this escort cossie on youtube before but I was having another look today and wondered what the fans for in the back of the car at 1:12 on this video...

There are holes cut in the bootlid where the number plate goes. My guess is its to extract tyre smoke from the cabin of the car as this bloke is famously forever sideways 8) Surely its not for cooling the rear diff oil? help!

Doesnt it also have cutouts on the rear spoiler too for cooling :?: :!:

I would say transmission cooling rad as it needs loads i should think.
That is mental.

They are the main engine radiator with fans on them, cars that drift spend so long sideways that front mounted rads are not very efficient.
